Key Background:

Berlin-based automation startup n8n has raised $180 million in its Series C funding round, giving the company a value of $2.5 billion. The round was led by Accel, with other investors including Meritech, Redpoint, Evantic, Visionaries Club, and the venture arms of Deutsche Telekom (T Capital) and Nvidia (NVentures). Existing investors such as Sequoia, HV Capital, Highland Europe, and Felicis Ventures also made follow-on investments.

Founded in 2019 by Jan Oberhauser, n8n describes itself as an “AI orchestration platform,” enabling businesses to connect and automate workflows across hundreds of applications. The platform helps companies use advanced tools to make their daily operations easier and more efficient.

Oberhauser noted that while many businesses are spending heavily on new technology, they still find it hard to get real results. “The real challenge for organizations isn’t accessing AI, it’s orchestrating it effectively,” he said. “n8n helps teams create adaptable AI infrastructure that mirrors how their businesses actually operate.”

The company has now raised $240 million in total funding, including a $60 million round earlier this year. The fresh capital will be used to expand its engineering capabilities, develop new product features, and accelerate international growth to meet surging enterprise demand.

n8n now works with over 3,000 companies, including Vodafone, Softbank, and Seat, and says its revenue has grown ten times in the last year. It also boasts a strong global community of over 700,000 developers and builders who contribute integrations, templates, and guides that support its expanding ecosystem.

Commenting on the investment, Ben Fletcher, Partner at Accel, said, “n8n has become the brain behind automation for enterprises and AI builders alike. The team has built a vibrant community and a platform that makes the promise of AI truly accessible.”

With this latest funding, n8n is positioning itself as one of Europe’s most promising AI automation leaders, helping organizations turn AI potential into real-world productivity.
