Background

Monmouthshire Building Society has entered into a long-term partnership with Phoebus Software in a move aimed at modernizing its core operations and improving efficiency across its mortgage and savings services. The five-year agreement will see Phoebus deliver its advanced account servicing platform to support more than 90,000 of the society’s members.

The partnership is designed to bring a higher level of automation to the Building Society’s day-to-day processes, including issuing key documents, managing interest rate changes, and maintaining customer records. It will also cover more complex activities such as arrears handling and property repossession management.

As part of the rollout, Monmouthshire Building Society will adopt Phoebus’ originations and migrations API, a tool that enables the smooth onboarding of new lending and the secure transfer of existing portfolios from older systems. This move is an important part of the society’s plan to modernize its operations and strengthen its digital capabilities.

Adam Oldfield, Chief Executive Officer of Phoebus Software, said the partnership shows both organizations’ shared focus on innovation and accuracy. “This partnership reflects a joint commitment to modernization and service excellence,” he said. “Our technology is designed to handle complex migrations seamlessly, giving institutions like Monmouthshire BS the confidence to evolve without disruption. We’re delighted to support the society as it continues its digital journey.”

Echoing this sentiment, Monmouthshire Building Society’s Chief Executive Officer, Will Carroll, described the agreement as a key milestone in their strategic roadmap. “Selecting the right technology partner was crucial for our long-term plans,” he said. “Phoebus demonstrated both the technical strength and deep understanding of our needs. “This partnership brings together proven experience with the flexibility and automation we need to serve our members better,” Carroll said.

The deal represents an important step in the Society’s ongoing effort to modernize its services and improve the member experience through technology.
