Background:

Finnish wearable tech company Oura is growing fast after raising $900 million in October, giving it a valuation of $11 billion. The company, known for its smart rings, expects to nearly double its sales in 2026 after a strong year.

CEO Tom Hale said at Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal, that Oura is set to reach $1 billion in sales in 2025, doubling its revenue from 2024. Looking ahead, Hale projected the company could generate close to $2 billion next year, reflecting the company’s ambitious expansion and increasing market demand.

“Our growth is being driven by strong market adoption, particularly with health features for women, and our international expansion,” Hale said. “Next year is certainly going to be a lot more; it’ll be north, maybe close to $2 billion.”

Since launching in 2015, Oura has sold over 5.5 million rings, including more than 2.5 million units since June 2024. The company says its success comes from smart health features and strong partnerships.

Oura gives users useful health information and advice through its Oura Advisor, which works like a “doctor in your pocket.” The company plans to add more features, including tracking fertility, blood sugar, and blood pressure.

Oura works with Natural Cycles to track fertility and Dexcom for blood sugar monitoring. In October, the company also began researching blood pressure tracking to improve its health features.

CEO Tom Hale said Oura wants to be like a “guardian angel” for users, helping them stay healthy long-term. With strong funding and global growth, Oura is ready to keep growing in the wearable tech market.
