Hong Kong Firm Laputa Expands Into Europe With Carbon Capture Technology

Prime Highlights-

  • Laputa builds carbon capture technology directly into existing concrete production lines.
  • Company teams up with CS Tech to strengthen technical stability and scalability.

Key Facts-

  • Laputa showcases carbon capture solution at VivaTech 2026 in Paris.
  • Hong Kong firm expands into Europe with support from HKPC’s Cradle programme.

Background-

Laputa Eco-Construction Materials has rolled out a deployable carbon capture and utilization solution designed to move low carbon building materials forward, with the Hong Kong company now eyeing the European market. At VivaTech 2026 in Paris, it presented the technology integrated straight into existing concrete production lines.

Laputa’s system pulls carbon dioxide that would otherwise be released into the air and reshapes it into low carbon construction materials, so manufacturers can run the technology on current production lines without heavy infrastructure changes. This means decarbonization can start within existing systems, giving traditional building materials producers an easier path to adoption.

The company built an integrated solution that covers system design, equipment assembly and on site deployment, taking the work beyond the lab and into real world use. This ability strengthens its commercial prospects and puts Hong Kong innovation on the international map.

Backed by the Hong Kong Productivity Council through its Cradle Go Global Service Centre, Laputa used its VivaTech appearance to speed up its move into Europe as demand rises for low carbon, circular economy technologies that work at scale right away.

Working with affiliated company CS Tech, the CCU technology provider and licensor, has helped Laputa sharpen its technical stability and production scalability.

Dixon Chan, a founder of Laputa, said climate change calls for technology that people can adopt and scale now, adding that the company wants to carry practical low carbon solutions from Hong Kong to different parts of the world.
